QuickTemplates for Firefox, if you do not want to see a confirmation box when a replacement has been found, then add a preference named quicktemplates.success_noconfirm. It can be of any type and can have any value. Use about:config for that.
The extension replaces text in the active textarea. Helps reduce having to type the same stuff over and over. Should be pretty useful for web-based email or support systems. You can create your own templates for standard responses.
I often need to type the same text into a text box on one site. So instead of retyping it over and over, I created a template and a keyword. Now, I put the cursor in to that text box, type the short template name and click Ctrl+Space. And the template name gets replaced with a template value.
The same goes for e-mail messages in Thunderbird.
There is no limit on the number of templates and their names. Templates are only replaced inside the "current" textarea object. Make sure that you don't pick template names that are common words. For example, if you pick a template name "a" then each occurrence of that letter will be replaced with the content of the template.
Once you've typed the template name, hit Ctrl-Space right away. Do not hit enter or space, do not type anything else, and do not move the cursor away from the name. Once the replacement has been done, you can continue typing whatever else you need there.
